Monetary donations are coming in from all
over, but there is a substantial demand for additional aid.
Medical supplies and equipment are greatly needed and the North
Adams Ambulance Service is joining efforts with the Haiti Relief
Fund to collect medical supplies across New England from emergency
service organizations.
The collected supplies will allow the relief workers and medical staff in Haiti to
care for people more quickly and more efficient.
Here are
some of the most needed items:
- Medical supplies such as band aids, alcohol, peroxide, bandages,
gauze pads etc.
- Water and non-perishable food items.
- Diapers, baby clothes, wipes and bottles.
- Cots and tents.
- Clean, gently used clothing & shoes.
